PLS LogoThe Pioneer Library System will visit the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History and Library Day Saturday, June 24, at the museum, 2401 Chautauqua Ave., on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.

All museum visitors that day will receive complimentary admission if they show their library card, whether it is from Pioneer or from any library or library system from anywhere in the world. Showing one library card gains access to the museum for the entire family.

And for those who don’t yet have a card, PLS staff will be at the museum to help them get signed up for one. A PLS card is free for anyone who lives, works, attends school or owns property in Cleveland, McClain or Pottawatomie counties, where Pioneer operates 11 libraries in 10 communities.

Staff from hometown libraries will lead story times, crafts and other activities during the day to add to the museum experience for guests. And the PLS Maker Mobile will be at the museum to show off the library’s STEAM resources, including its 3-D Printer, laser cutter, STEAM kits and the Maker Mobile library.

The museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day, and all of its galleries will be open to those attending Library Day.
