Stephen King’s fantasy and horror novels have created thrills and chills for readers for many years.
They’ve also found their way to big screen adaptations, the next being based on his “Dark Tower” series with a release date in early August.
King’s work includes more than 50 novels and dozens of awards, including the National Medal of Arts from the National Endowment for the Arts in 2015. And many of his works have been made their way to the movies before this summer’s latest.
However, readers don’t have to wait for the movie to come out, as they can find many of King’s works in our collection. A few featured ones to look for include:
Dark Tower – In a series that has evolved over decades, King takes readers on a tour that winds through multiple genres.
Skeleton Crew – Classic tales of horror fill the pages of this former No. 1 bestseller from 1985.
Misery – Remember the theatrical version of this King classic? Novelist Paul Sheldon is rescued from a car accident only to find he’s now kidnapped by a crazed fan.
