Do you know someone who needs to improve their comfort level with technology? The Moore Public Library continues its monthly slate of free computer classes with several offerings in January 2015. Whether it's the basics of using a computer to using a smart phone, your hometown Moore Library is here for you!
Classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library. Registration is required for each individual class and may be completed at the library, by calling 793-4349 or online.
Jan. 6, 9:30 a.m. – Computer Basics: An introduction to the computer with practice using a mouse.
Jan. 13, 9:30 a.m. - Internet Basics Part 1: An introduction to the internet. Learn basic browser and toolbar functions, and practice web surfing.
Jan. 22, 6:30 p.m. – Smartphone Basics: Learn the basics of Android and Apple devices. This class will cover hardware of a smartphone and the features that come built in, including calling, texting, searching the internet, and taking a picture. This class is for the beginning smartphone user and devices will not be provided, so participants should bring their own device.
Jan. 27, 9:30 a.m. – Facebook for Beginners: A basic introduction to Facebook. Participants will learn about finding friends, accessing Profile and Account information, plus learn how to protect privacy. Intermediate computer skills are recommended.
