Norman Public Library West invites families with young readers to an evening of reading with therapy dogs at the library. Reading sessions for March and April will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on each Thursday in each month.

Registration in advance is required to secure a time slot and may be completed at the library’s front desk, by calling 701-2644 or online at the library Events Calendar.

Each week, the library will have a therapy dog in house to listen to young readers as they practice their reading skills. It’s a good chance to learning readers to read to a new friend in a relaxed environment in hopes of helping them gain confidence in their reading skills.
