New & Popular

Do you have a young person between the ages of 8 and 11? Do you need a hour to browse the library by yourself, while they do something they enjoy? Well, then “Tween Time,” is for you (and them)!

Every Friday in June,  at 11 a.m. Tweens ( 8 to 11 year olds) are invited to try a variety of super new activities.
In order they are:

Week 1: Art Market - Limited to first 60 kids. Upon entry participants will be given 'library money'. They will then have to work with other kids to 'purchase' supplies to make their artful masterpieces.
Week 2: Moore High School Drama Workshop - Limited to first 60 kids. Members of the Moore High School Drama Department will come and teach the finer points of acting.
Week 3: Top Hat Talent - Limited to first 60 kids. I said a hip hop, Hippie to the hippie, The hip, hip a hop, and you don't stop, a rock it. That's the type of dancing you'll do.
Week 4: USA Takwondo Center - Limited to first 60 kids. Hands on introduction to a classic form of martial arts. (Essential for any hero in training)

Now, remember space is limited to the first 60 participants each week, so get there early. Then as your tween is getting some amazing heroic skills - you can have some quiet library time.
