It’s a Family Saturday at the library

familyThe Blanchard Public Library is all about family fun with two chances to enjoy quality family time, on Saturday, Oct. 17!

Family Story Time, at 10:30 a.m., includes stories, rhymes, songs, crafts, sensory activities and more for families to share together.

Then at 2 p.m., the library hosts a Family Movie Time, with a family-friendly matinee movie offering!

Registration is not required to attend either of the programs. Gather your family and enjoy some stories and a movie together!

Get cooking at Tween Scene activity

cookThe Blanchard Public Library is bringing local tweens together for its Tween Scene group that meets after school this fall! The group’s next meeting is 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15.

Children in third through fifth grade are invited to the group, which will meet once a month for a variety of themed activities. The theme for October’s program is Cooking, with easy recipe ideas to help out in the kitchen!

All supplies for each month’s program are provided. Registration in advance is required so staff knows how many participants to prepare for. Don't miss out on cooking a recipe that'll be scrumptious! 


Take the next step in robotics with teen workshop

robotThe Blanchard Public Library takes robotics to another level with the upcoming event Robots: The Next StepTeens ages 12 to 17 are invited to participate in the program at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10!

The program presenter is TechJOYnT, an Oklahoma City-based academy with the goal of presenting technology-based workshops for children of all ages.

In this event, participants will learn a technology program that produces the interactions of a humanoid robot that can dance, converse, play games, and more. Students will learn how to program the robot and teach it various moves so come out and join the fun!
