Preschool events slated on Tuesday mornings

BlocksThe McLoud Public Library hosts weekly activities for preschool children at 11 a.m. on each Tuesday morning during September.

Events are geared to young children and their caregivers, and themes are:

Sept. 5Preschool Story Time, with stories, songs, rhymes and more for preschool-age children and their caregivers

Sept. 12Family Play Time/la hora de jugar en familia, a bilingual event including stories, art and play time;

Sept. 19Preschool Story Time, with stories, songs, rhymes and more for preschool-age children and their caregivers

Sept. 26Stress Relief Story Time – a morning of stories and massage, with two certified infant massage instructors.

Registration is not required to attend any of the story times.

Tuesday morning means preschool fun and learning

Child and carThe McLoud Public Library invites the community to its weekly activities for preschool children at 11 a.m. on the first four Tuesday mornings during October.

Events are geared to young children and their caregivers, and the program themes are:

Oct. 3 Preschool Story Time, with stories, songs, rhymes and more for preschool-age children and their caregivers

Oct. 10Viva GLARt! Grow a Learner Through Art, a bilingual event including stories, art and play time;

Oct. 17 Preschool Story Time, with stories, songs, rhymes and more for preschool-age children and their caregivers

Oct. 24Stress Relief Story Time – a morning of stories and massage, with two certified infant massage instructors.

Registration is not required to attend any of the story times.

There’s a ‘Book Buzz’ at the library

BooksGet in on the latest in literature with the McLoud Public Library and its Fall Book Buzz, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5.

Representatives from Penguin Random House Publications will visit the library for the program, which is for ages 18 and up. They’ll look at popular fall and winter book titles, and library staff also will share about what they’re looking forward to in books.

There will be book samplers, catalogs and tote bags available to attendees while they last.

The event is open to book group members and PLS staff members, and registration is required in advance to attend.
