Create 3D art with a pen

flower made with 3Doodler penNorman Public Library West is going 3D with its upcoming teen craft event “3D Pens” at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4.

Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to learn how to use 3Doodler pens to make unique 3-dimensional drawings. Space and supplies are limited, so registration is required.

This activity is one of the Pioneer Library System’s new Steam Power Maker Kits.

March into the month with six story times

Mother with childNorman Public Library West welcomes families of young children to the library for its weekly morning Story Times, hosted at 10 a.m. most Tuesdays at the library.

In March, Story Time dates are March 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, as well as a special Saturday, March 28, event.

Stories are geared to children from birth to pre-kindergarten age. Registration is not required in advance to attend any of the events.

 

Teens invited to participate in “Muslim Voices” series

Sponsors of Muslim VoicesTeens, aged 13+ , are invited to participate in a special book discussion series offered at Norman Public Library West. This program series will be facilitated by PLS Teen Coordinator Leanne and retired Oklahoma Baptist University English professor William HagenThe teen series begins Feb. 23 and runs through April 6.

Registration is required in advance of programs and may be completed at the library, by calling 701-2644 or through the links provided below. Participants will receive a copy of the book being discussed, to keep. Titles for the teen books are available at Norman West. The hope is that participants will be able to take part in the entire series.

Each part of the program series is taking place at 6:30 p.m. at Norman Public Library West, on the following dates and with the following titles:
