The Moore Public Library invites members of the military, veterans and their families to take part in the third annual edition of its Military Resource Fair, scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, in Rooms A and B.
A variety of organizations will be available at the event to discuss their offerings for service members both present and past as well as their family members.
Among the groups scheduled to attend are the Alzheimer’s Association; American Legion, Post 184 (Moore); Books by Vets; Bruce January Memorial VFW Post 8706; Building Healthy Military Communities (BHMC); FirstLight Home Care; Gateway Mortgage Group; Mid-Del Technology Center; Oklahoma Community College; Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs; Oklahoma Employment Security Commission; Sunbelt Staffing; Troops to Teachers; and the Wounded Warrior Project.
Participating organizations have different criteria they use to focus on specific populations. The library welcomes all visitors who have served or are serving in the U.S. military, and any attendees who may not meet the criteria of some of the participating partners is invited to visit the library's Information Desk to learn about alternatives.
Participants may be added as the program date nears, so check with the library for an up-to-date list.
