The library is going to the dogs (and cats)

PuppyNorman Public Library Central celebrates the “Dog and Cat Days of Summer” in a special activity for furry friends and their humans, taking place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, in the Lowry Room.

This come-and-go event will feature activities, photos and pet toy crafts, as well as a visit from multiple local organizations. Norman Animal Welfare and Second Chance Animal Shelter will bring adoptable pets. Best Friends of Pets will offer pet tag engraving. Hands Helping Paws, The Mutt Club, Norman Animal Park, and Wags Whiskers and Whimsy also will have giveaways and provide information on their services.

Also, the Friends of the Norman Library will host an animal-themed book sale during the program.

All ages may attend and no advance registration is required.
