Norman Public Library East is bringing a new era of library service to residents on the east side of Norman, through its programs, services and activities offered on a daily basis.
Visit the library in October for a great book, or for one of a variety of program opportunities, including:
With Halloween approaching, it’s a perfect time for two creepy-themed activities:
FrankenToys for Teens, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, takes old toys and turns them into new creatures that can range from funny to creepy to just strange. Participants then will bring their characters “to life” using the Keynote animation program to make them move. For ages 12 to 18, advance registration is required;
Spooktacular Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, is a morning and afternoon of family-friendly movies, spooky crafts, warm cider and more. All ages are welcome and invited to come in costume! Registration is encouraged but not required.
Children are invited to the weekly Story Time events scheduled at 10 a.m. most Thursdays. They include stories and songs, rhymes and social interaction for young children and their caregivers. And visit the Oct. 10 event for a visit from Jennifer Voss to lead her special Music Time activity.
