Norman Public Library West and its staff bring a passion for books and reading to customers on a daily basis through the library’s programs and offerings.

A boisterous time inside the library is found on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m., when families with young children can attend Story Time, which features time for books, music, stories, games and more. There will be Story Time programs on each of the five Tuesdays during the month.

Need some time for calm after that, or just because? Get an “Introduction to Meditation and Mindfulness” in a pair of programs, offered on Mondays, Oct. 7 and Oct. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. Representatives from the Norman Meditation Group will lead the events.

And music lovers can choose from a variety of music-themed events scheduled throughout the month.

The library of course houses hundreds of books, a dedicated space for public computers and access to the resources of the Pioneer Library System, which includes more than 700,000 items in its extensive collection.
