Tecumseh Public Library
The Tecumseh Public Library’s place in the heart of downtown fits its role as a central part of the community it serves.
The library brings much more than just books, with a variety of program options for all ages, public computers and much more in the way of service.
The library regularly features do-it-yourself activities for adults, ranging in topics. Upcoming programs will feature a Do-It-Yourself Air Freshener event at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 and a creative morning of Make and Take with the Pioneer Library System Maker Mobile at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24. Registration in advance is required for these activities.
The library also a great place for the youngest of readers and even pre-readers, who can come for Thursday morning Toddler Story Time at 11 a.m. most weeks. Children who are a little older and starting to read also have a special experience on Mondays beginning at 4 p.m., when a group of friendly therapy dogs come to the library to listen to the children read in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
Teen readers also can find activity at 4 p.m. on most Wednesdays while school is in session. Topics have a wide range from gaming to cooking to crafts and more.
