Story Time series features variety in July

Child with carsThe McLoud Public Library presents its weekly Story Time events at 11 a.m. on Tuesdays the library is open in July (the library is closed on Tuesday, July 4, for the Independence Day holiday.)

Events are geared to young children and their caregivers, and themes for the month are:

July 11Family Play Time/la hora de jugar en familia, a bilingual event including stories, art and play time. The event is funded from a contribution to the PLS Growing Like a Read initiative in 2015;

July 18Preschool Fun Fit Kids – an introduction of basic fitness activities for young children;

July 25Stress Relief Story Time – a morning of stories and massage, with two certified infant massage instructors.

Registration is not required to attend any of the story times.

Wrap up Summer Reading with Finale, Ice Cream Party

SRP bannerThe McLoud Public Library is celebrating a great summer of reading with its Summer Reading Program Finale and Ice Cream Party, set for 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, in the McLoud American Legion Hall, across the street to the east of the library.

Participants in this year’s Summer Reading Program are invited for ice cream and a celebration of their achievements. Also, staff will draw names for several grand prize winners at the event.

Activities are geared to ages 11 and under and registration is not required in advance to attend.
