August Toddler Times for youngsters

cover for The Big book for Toddlers edited by Alice Wong and Lena TaboriThe McLoud Public Library welcomes the community to its Toddler Time story times, next taking place at 11 a.m. Tuesdays, August 11 and 25 in the Milburn Room.

The programs are for children ages 1 to 3 and their grownups and feature activities for children and their caregivers, including listening to books, singing songs and other hands-on projects.

Registration is not required to attend.

The program generally is offered the second and fourth Tuesdays of most months.

Three-part series on basic computer skills set

The McLoud Public Library is giving a look inside the world of computers for adults, at an upcoming series of classes in August. Registration is not required, but space is limited.

This is a three-part series of classes, with each class starting at 10:30 a.m. on successive Wednesdays. The schedule features:

Aug. 5 – Introduction to Computers, a start on computers including how to use the keyboard, mouse and more
