The Tecumseh Public Library presents the series Healthy Brain, Healthy Mind, on four consecutive Wednesdays, June 8, 15, 22 and 29, at 10:30 a.m.
The classes will be for adults age 18 and up, and provide paths to maintaining a healthy brain, with more than a dozen ways for improving both physical and mental health.
Registration is required for each session of the series.
The Tecumseh Public Library presents a Mason Jar Sign craft event for adults 18 and up, at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 2, at the library.
Participants will take a mason jar and repurpose it into a sign to place on their front door, using ideas and supplies provided by the library.
Supplies will be limited in amount, so registration is required to attend.
The Tecumseh Public Library is bringing the zoo inside its doors with a visit from Extreme Animals, at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 2.
Extreme Animals is an Oklahoma City-based organization that cares for exotic animals and educates the public about the animals in visits to a variety of events at schools, libraries and many other locations.
The group will have several of its animals inside the library for its one-hour presentation, which is geared to children 11 and under and their caregivers.
Registration is not required.
Even though school will be out, the Tecumseh Public Library isn’t stopping its series of Wednesday afternoon activities for teens. A different program is scheduled June 1, 15, 22 and 29 at the library. Ages 12 to 17 are invited to participate!
The schedule features the following events:
June 1, 2 p.m. – Wood Mirror craft, with an opportunity to make a wood mirror to take home as a decoration or gift;
Registration is required separately for each program.
