Enjoy a Holly Jolly Christmas craft in Blanchard

The Blanchard Public Library gives local children an opportunity to make their own Holly Jolly Christmas Craft in a come-and-go event, running from 2 to 5 p.m. or while supplies last, on Friday, Dec. 19, at the library, 205 NE 10th St.

All supplies will be provided by the library and children will be able to take their creation home to add to their home’s decorations for the holiday.

Meet Blanchard’s new therapy dog at upcoming event

A new friend is coming to the Blanchard Public Library to encourage young readers. His name is Sully and he’s a Therapy Dog who will visit the library regularly after the holidays for reading sessions with young readers as they learn.

Children have a chance to meet Sully at a special meet-and-greet event at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at the library, 205 NE 10th St. Sully and his handler Cathy Dolezal, along with library staff, will be on hand to discuss how the program will work beginning in January.

Go on a “Lego Quest” in Blanchard

The Blanchard Public Library is taking youngsters on a "Lego Quest" at an upcoming program at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the library, 205 NE 10th St.

Participants will use a variety of Legos to make a unique creation and complete a special quest they'll learn about when they arrive at the program.

Blanchard to host Christmas Story Time, Rhythmical Lapsit

Christmas is coming, and that means the Blanchard Public Library’s popular Preschool Story Time and Rhythmical Lapsit programs will have holiday-themed editions on the way for families.

The library’s Christmas Story Time is set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, with Christmas Rhythmical Lapsit at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17.
