Blanchard Public Library

Do any children feel like Missy? They just can't find the right kind of book to read. Something is always wrong with each.
That's the story behind the children's book Miss Brooks Loves Books (and I Don't), and the Blanchard Public Library is celebrating that book with an afternoon of activities starting at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3
The book is written by Barbara Bottner and illustrated by Michael Emberley, and librarians will read it before participants can take part in themed crafts and activities as well as enjoy snacks.
And it's also a chance for anyone who might not yet have a library card to get one. Any Blanchard residents or anyone who attends school, works, lives or owns property anywhere in the Pioneer Library System's three-county area (McClain, Cleveland, Pottawatomie) is eligible for a free card.
Registration is not required in advance to attend the event.
