The Blanchard Public Library is bringing families together with its Family Story Times, offered on multiple occasions during April.
Weekly sessions of story time are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Mondays, April 3, 10, 17 and 24, and a special Saturday edition will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8. The events feature not just stories but also songs, rhymes, flannel board fun, music and bubble time. And the last half of each program is dedicated to various crafts and sensory activities.
And especially for families with young children, the library's bilingual Family Story and Play Time/La Hora de Jugar en familia will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 4. This event is geared to children age 5 and under and their caregivers and gives children a chance to learn and develop their brains through simple play.
The program is part of the Pioneer Library System's Growing Like a Read initiative and were made possible from a contribution from an anonymous donor to PLS in 2015.
Registration is not required for any of the events.
