Find a new friend and practice reading in “Bow-Wow Books” series

Reading dogThe Blanchard Public Library has therapy dogs that are ready to listen to young readers in its “Bow-Wow Books” series on Tuesday afternoons the library is open in July.

Sessions are set for 2 to 4 p.m. July 11, July 18, and July 25. The library is closed for the Independence Day holiday July 4.

It’s a chance for readers to build their confidence while reading to a new furry friend who won’t try to correct them or be impatient with them.

Registration for a time to read should be completed by calling the library at 485-2275.
