Improve your balance with library’s Tai Chi series

Tai ChiThe Blanchard Public Library is exercising both mind and body with the next session of its series “Tai Chi for Better Balance.”

The six-week, 12-class series begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, and will take place at that time each Tuesday and Thursday evening through Thursday, Sept. 7, in the Community Room.

Participants will learn eight basic Tai Chi positions to help improve their balance, as well as several warm-up exercises to help with relaxation.

The class is offered thanks to the training and support of the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative.

Ages 18 and up may attend. Registration is required in advance.
