Build creativity through stories and Legos

Dad and childThe Blanchard Public Library welcomes families with children for a variety of regular activities on its monthly schedule.

Family Story Time is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Mondays the library is open in September, on Sept. 11, 18 and 25. (The library is closed for the Labor Day holiday Sept. 4.)

The events include stories, songs, rhymes, flannel board fun, music and bubble time, as well as a section of the program for crafts, sensory activities and play time.

The library also is building creativity this month through a pair of Lego-themed programs:

Lego Quest 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7 – For ages 3 to 12 and their parents, it’s a series of building challenges that take participants on a “quest.”

Lego WeDo3:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19 – For 2nd through 6th graders, bring STEM and Robotics to life through Lego projects. Supplies are a bit limited for this event so registration is required in advance for this program.

No advance registration is required for the other programs.
