Maker Monday looks at art, cooking in January

PieMake and create with the Blanchard Public Library and its Kids Maker Monday activities, scheduled at 3:40 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8 and the same time Jan. 22.

The Jan. 8 program, “Scratch Art, Full STEAM Ahead,” will teach participants about Scratch art and also include a reading of an art-inspired book on the theme.

On Jan. 22, it’s an afternoon for “Making Pie,” as children will complete a pie project using supplies provided by the library.

Activities are for students in pre-Kindergarten through fifth grades. Space is limited so registration is required in advance for each.

The programs are provided thanks to funding through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), a federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Service.
