Legos and library go together with multiple events

LegosThe Blanchard Public Library is a hub of activity not just for reading but also with its variety of Lego kits for creative activities.

During February, come to the library for the following Lego-themed afterschool events.

Create with Legos, 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1Ages 3 to 12 can take on several building challenges and quests, or just free-build if they want using kits including Star Wars and Super Hero themes. Parents are welcome to participate with their children, and advance registration is not required.

Lego WeDo, 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6 – For children in 2nd through 6th grades, get an introduction to STEM and coding by bringing a Lego kit design to life. Space is limited so registration is required to participate.

Lego WeDo Advanced, 3:40 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8 – A more advanced version of the Lego WeDo activity, for children in 2nd through 6th grades who have attended several of the beginning classes and have confidence in putting these more complicated kits together. Registration is required in advance.
