Join the library for family stories and movies this summer

FamilyThe Blanchard Public Library invites local families on Monday and Thursday mornings for family-friendly activities as part of this year’s Summer Reading Program.

Family Story Time takes place at 10:30 a.m. each Monday of the month, on June 4, 11, 18 and 25. The Story Times feature songs, rhymes, flannel board fun, music and bubble time, as well as sensory activities and craft projects.

At 10 a.m. on Thursday mornings, June 7, 14, 21 and 28, the library will host a weekly Family Movie Time. All ages are welcome to attend a variety of family options that will be rated either G or PG.

Attendees are welcome to bring pillows and blankets and the library will provide popcorn and lemonade. Check with the library for movie titles in advance of each week’s presentation.

The story times are funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), a federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Registration is not required in advance to attend any of the activities.
