Kids can learn a healthy cooking lesson

Food for ThoughtThe Blanchard Public Library welcomes the experience of the Food for Thought Learning Institute of Norman for the upcoming program “Children Cooking Healthy,” set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the library.

Matthew Joplin from Food for Thought will lead the program, which is geared to ages 4 to 12. He will demonstrate healthy and tasty snacks for children. This month’s menu item will be a yogurt parfait, and a followup program July 25 will feature a recipe for rollups.

All supplies are provided but space is limited, so registration is required in advance to attend.

This project is being funded through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA), a federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
