Attend “Culinary Boot Camp” with Food for Thought series

A favorite for many who have come to the Moore Public Library for their food-oriented programs the previous two summers, Food for Thought Learning Institute is again sharing their talents at the library with an upcoming four-part series, “Culinary Boot Camp,” to help anyone’s kitchen skills.

Food for Thought is a Norman-based nonprofit organization that works with people of all ages on making good and cost-effective choices with their meals. They’ll share experience and knowledge on a variety of topics.

Class times, dates and themes are:

7:15 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31 – Knife Skills

7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2 – Powerhouse Pantry Skills

7:15 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14 – Leftovers

7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16 – Pickling

All classes are offered free of charge, but space is limited for each. Registration is required in advance and participants can attend all classes or any they choose.

The program is made possible by financial assistance from federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries.
