Get a start in computer programming basics with Hour of Code

The Moore Public Library gives teens an introduction to computer programming at its Scratch: Hour of Code free class, set for 3:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 7, in the Computer Training Center of the library.

The Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming.

This Hour of Code will focus on Scratch,  a free programming language available online as a free resource from the Lifelong Kindergarten group at the MIT Media Lab. Teens in grades 6th through 12th will learn the basics of Scratch and how to create interactive stories, game and animations.

Space is limited so registration is required.
