The Moore Public Library's vast collection of materials gives readers a chance to exercise their minds. But the library also provides opportunities for physical exercise through several monthly program options.
Beginner's Yoga, at 6 p.m. each Monday in August, features a certified YMCA instructor leading the group in learning various yoga poses.
The library's Zumba series takes place at 6 p.m. on Thursdays in August, and is an active workout done to upbeat Latin and international music. A signed waiver is required in advance of workouts.
Two levels of Tai Chi programs take place on Saturdays, a Beginner's Tai Chi class at 9:30 a.m. and an Intermediate Tai Chi class immediately following at 10 a.m.
All classes are for teens age 12 and up or adults and are made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
