Experience an introduction to Tai Chi with free classes

Tai ChiLearn the art of Tai Chi with the Moore Public Library in two sessions of its weekly free classes. The library will host a Beginner's Tai Chi class at 9 a.m. on Saturdays, and an Intermediate Tai Chi class that follows immediately after at 10 a.m.

Classes are hosted in Room B and take place in December on Dec. 3, 10, 17 and 31.

Classes are led by certified instructor Chock Petchprom. The goal for the classes is to improve balance and coordination, reduce stress and anxiety, promote joint health and help participants develop and improve muscle strength.

Either teens or adults may participate. Registration is not required in advance, although a signed waiver is required before each class. Anyone under age 18 must have parent or guardian consent by signing the waiver.

The classes are made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
