As a low-stress alternative to some ways of working out, yoga is a way to increase flexibility, balance and coordination through poses.
The Moore Public Library presents yoga workouts to the community with its Beginner's Yoga classes, with December classes scheduled at 6 p.m. on Mondays, Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 26. The classes are taught by a certified YMCA instructor who will be leading the group in learning various yoga poses.
Classes are for teens age 12 and up or adults and are made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
A signed waiver is required before each class. Anyone under age 18 must have parent or guardian consent by signing the waiver.
