Start the New Year on the move with our free Zumba classes

IMLS logoThe Moore Public Library, a community favorite for exercising minds through reading, also gives chances to exercise your body with its free weekly Zumba classes.

Free Zumba classes will be 6 p.m. on each Thursday evening in January, on Jan. 5, 12, 19 and 26. The workouts feature high-energy Latin and International music that combine dance and exercise movements.

And the first program, on Jan. 5, is a chance to break in the year with a celebration, as attendees are encouraged to wear party hats and bring party favors.

Teens ages 12 and up or adults may participate, although a signed waiver is required before each class. Anyone under age 18 must have parent or guardian consent by signing the waiver.

The classes are made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
