Summer Nights mean music in Moore

GuitarFriday nights are made for music in Moore, thanks to the Moore Public Library, the City of Moore and local sponsors presenting the annual Summer Nights Concert Series.

This year’s series features free concerts at 8 p.m. on the first four Fridays in June at Central Park, 700 S. Broadway St.

Performers will be:

June 2Banana Seat, bringing hits from the 70s to today with their eclectic style; MOVED TO LIBRARY

June 9Black Water Bridge, a local Moore band bringing classic rock favorites;

June 16Boulevard Brass, a brass quintet that will take the audience on a journey through time musically;

June 23Nicnos, a high-energy folk rock band based out of Oklahoma City.

Sponsors for the Summer Nights Concert Series are the Moore Public Library, City of Moore, Friends of the Moore Library and Tinker Federal Credit Union.

The Boulevard Brass performance is part of the Pioneer Library System’s schedule of touring Summer Reading Program activities. Sponsors for those events are the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Friends of the Library groups, Hitachi Computer Products of America Inc., the Institute of Museum and Library Services, Oklahoma Arts Council, Oklahoma College Savings Plan, Pioneer Library System, Pioneer Library System Foundation, SONIC, the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and The Oklahoman Newspapers in Education.
