Shape up with “Fitness Fridays”

ChildThe Moore Public Library welcomes children in third through fifth grades for a series of events on Fridays in July. “Fitness Fridays” takes place at 11 a.m. each Friday in July and includes a different theme each week.

Dates and topics are:

July 7Tween Cooking – Get good tips on summer snacks from the experts at the Cleveland County OSU Extension Service;

July 14USA Taekwondo – Learn basics of self-defense and life control and coordination through several games;

July 21Anytime Fitness Fun – Get tips that can help the whole family be more physically fit in a fun way;

July 28Kelsey Hoops Hula Hoop Show and Workshop – Join Kelsey Hoops for a lesson on hula hooping. This program is limited to the first 75 children who register.

Registration is required separately for each of the programs.

The series is made possible through the Health Literacy Grant by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, Oklahoma Literacy Resource Office and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
