Series giving local girls a coding experience

Coding girlThe Moore Public Library begins its Girls Who Code series at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 11, with classes scheduled on Monday afternoons throughout the fall in the Computer Training Center.

Each week, participants will look at various aspects of computer programming in sessions led by instructors Alex Barnard and Laura Lorg.

Girls in grades six through 12 are invited to be part of the group, and coders with experience or those who are beginners may participate.

Girls Who Code is a national organization focused on teaching girls about basic coding while also giving them a chance to meet others interested in computers. Find out more about the national initiative here.
