Start the new year in a healthy way with the Moore Public Library, which is boosting both mental and physical well-being with its weekly series of workout classes.
The schedule for January classes features:
Zumba - 6 p.m. on each Thursday of the month. The workouts feature high-energy Latin and International music that combine dance and exercise movements. Teens ages 12 and up or adults may participate.
Beginner’s Yoga - 6 p.m. on Mondays, Jan. 8, Jan. 22 and Jan. 29. The classes are taught by a certified YMCA instructor who will be leading the group in learning various yoga poses. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel for comfort, although there will be a limited number of mats provided. The classes are for teens age 12 and up or adults.
A signed waiver is required before each class, and anyone under age 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
