The Moore Public Library seeks to stress both the mental and physical well-being with its continuing series of workout classes.
The schedule for February classes features:
Zumba - 6 p.m. on Thursdays, Feb. 1, 8, 15 and 22. The workouts feature high-energy Latin and International music that combine dance and exercise movements. Teens ages 12 and up or adults may participate.
Tai Chi for Health – 9:15 a.m. on Mondays, Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26. Classes introduce basic Tai Chi principles and movements integrating mind and body. Ages 12 and up may participate.
Beginner’s Yoga - 6 p.m. on Mondays, Feb. 5, 12, 19 and 26. The classes are taught by a certified YMCA instructor who will be leading the group in learning various yoga poses. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or towel for comfort, although there will be a limited number of mats provided. The classes are for teens age 12 and up or adults.
A signed waiver is required before each class, and anyone under age 18 must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
