The Newcastle Public Library is giving an added boost for those interested in researching their family history with an upcoming series of basic genealogy programs.
Genealogy Sundays will take place from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sundays, Aug. 7, 14 and 21, at the library. Shirley Harman, Genealogy Consultant with the Daughters of the American Revolution, will lead the sessions, giving guidance and ideas for beginning or continuing a search of family history.
Participants also will learn about the online resources for genealogy offered through the library.
Space will be limited so registration is required separately for each of the classes.
