Readers sought for our monthly book discussions

Wolf by Wolf coverJoin the discussion with the Newcastle Public Library and its variety of book clubs meeting monthly.

This month’s meetings, program dates and selected topics are:

Brown Bag Book Discussion, 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 – The adult group will discuss The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto by Mitch Albom. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch, and there will be some additional refreshments provided by the Friends of the Newcastle Library.

Tween Book Club, 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 – Ages 8 to 12 will be discussing the book Flying Potato Salad by Henry Winkler and also working on a craft project related to the book.

Teen Book Club, 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 – Ages 13 to 17 will discuss Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin, one of the titles on the 2017 High School Sequoyah list.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy Book Club, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 – This month’s discussion will be on the futuristic tale Cinder by Marissa Meyer.

Copies of each of the books are available for checkout at the front desk of the library.
