We're talking books in monthly groups

Map Trap coverJoin the discussion with the Newcastle Public Library and its variety of book clubs meeting monthly at the library. November’s program dates and selected books are:

Brown Bag Book Discussion, 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9 – The adult group’s monthly discussion is on The Wives of Los Alamos by TaraShea Nesbit. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch, and there will be some additional refreshments provided by the Friends of the Newcastle Library.

Tween Book Club, 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9Ages 9 to 13 will be discussing The Map Trap by Andrew Clements, and participating in a craft related to the book.

Teen Book Club, 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9Ages 14 to 17 will look at There Will Be Bears by Ryan Gebhart.

Sci-Fi and Fantasy Book Club, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 – The featured book this month will be Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale.

Copies of each of the books are available for checkout at the front desk of the library.
