Little guys readThe Newcastle Public Library is getting future readers off on the right foot with multiple offerings for preschool-age children and their caregivers.

The month begins with a new Healthy You Story Time on Jan. 3. The program will feature books, songs, activities and a craft and is funded in part by donations from the Pioneer Library System Foundation.

On Jan. 10, 24 and 31, the library’s Pre-K Story Time provides stories, songs, activities and a craft. It’s geared to ages 2 to 5 but babies and even older children are welcome too.

The monthly bilingual story activity, Family Play Time/la hora de jugar en familia, will take place on Jan. 17. Activities include play time and stories in a bilingual setting and are for children up to age 5.

Registration is encouraged in advance for each of the programs.
