Once again, the scientific sounds and fascinating facts of Science Museum Oklahoma will come to the library for the Summer Reading Program.
SMO presents the program “Rockin’ Out with Science,” at 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, at the Newcastle Public Library.
It’s a look at what makes music really music, taking a look at the science behind sound in an interactive activity. The program is geared to ages 11 and under and their caregivers. Registration is not required in advance.
The Science Museum also will be in hometown libraries for activities for teens as well as adults this summer. Check the library calendar or at the library for dates and times of those activities.
Sponsors for this year’s Summer Reading Program are the Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation, Friends of the Library groups, Hitachi Computer Products of America Inc., Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Pioneer Library System, Pioneer Library System Foundation, Sonic – America’s Drive-In, Corp., the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and the Oklahoman Newspapers in Education.
