prairie dogThe Newcastle Public Library welcomes the Oklahoma City Zoo for an afternoon of exploring the prairie life in its “Little Sod House on the Prairie” program at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8 for families and children of all ages.

It’s a chance to learn about how frontier settlers survived on the land and get to know some of the animals that call the open prairie their home. After the program, you may wish to explore more information about frontier and pioneer life or prairie animals.

The program is part of the zoo’s offering of outreach events and is made possible thanks to a grant from the Oklahoma City Zoological Trust.
