High school students invited to weekly discussion groups

Comic booksThe Noble Public Library is adding a second discussion group for students at Noble High School during the school year.

The High School Book Club will have its first meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17 in the High School Library. All high school students are invited, and the group will use books from one of the Pioneer Library System’s book discussion kits.

A second group, the Noble High School Comics and Graphic Novels Club, has its inaugural meeting at 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, also in the library. This group will look at different elements of comic book and graphic design, with varied discussion planned throughout the year.

Meetings of each group are planned weekly throughout the school year, typically on the third and fourth Thursdays of the month, although the schedule will vary some months based on the school calendar.
