Computer Training Center class schedule set for all ages

Norman Public Library Central will offer a variety of free computer classes during September in the Computer Training Center of the library, for tweens, teens and adults.

The classes will llook at various aspects of computers, technology, robotics and more. Registration is required in advance for each individual class and may be completed by calling or visiting the library, or online below.

While many of the library’s new building and robotic kits have been popular with children and teens, the CTC is giving adults a look at some new gadgets in its Adult Quadcopters event, at noon Monday, Sept. 28. Participants can pilot the new quadcopters and perhaps learn a few tricks to teach their children or grandchildren.

The schedule for September also features:

Sept. 2 and 4, 4-6 p.m. – Tween Little Bits/3D Pens, for ages 8-12

Sept. 8-11, 1-3 p.m. – Microsoft Excel, Parts 1 through 4

Sept. 8-10, 4-6 p.m. – Teen Video Production, for ages 12-17

Sept. 11, 5:30-7:30 p.m. – Smartphones & Tablets

Sept. 14-15, 10 a.m.-noon – Microsoft Word, Parts 3 and 4

Sept. 16-18, 4-6 p.m. – Teen Making Electronic Music, for ages 12-17

Sept. 18, 1-3 p.m. – Computer Security

Sept. 19, 10 a.m.-noon – Social Networking Zoo

Sept. 21, 10 a.m.-noon – Golden Agers’ Computer Club

Sept. 21-24, 6-8 p.m. – Microsoft Excel, Parts 1 through 4

Sept. 28, noon-2 p.m. – Adult Quadcopters

Sept. 28-30, 4-6 p.m. – Teen Advanced Robotics, for ages 12-17
