If you are a senior who enjoys exercising or wants to try a new activity, we have the perfect program for you! Norman Public Library Central, in partnership with the Oklahoma Initiative for Healthy Aging, is presenting a 12-part series, Tai Chi for Seniors, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 1.
The program will be presented at that same time Mondays and Wednesdays each week for six weeks through Wednesday, March 9.
The classes will give a chance for seniors to learn to low-impact and healthy exercise of tai chi and the benefits that can come from the workouts.
The series is presented free of charge! However, registration is required and participants must sign a waiver release form prior to beginning the classes. Participants must also attend the first two sessions to participate in all 12 sessions.
