Upgrade your computer skills with a free class

KeyboardMouse byatimediaComputers and technology seem to change almost like the weather, and it can be an intimidating thing for many people.

But the staff of the Norman Public Library Central Computer Training Center are working hard every week to help with those concerns in a wide-ranging schedule of free classes.

These classes take place in the Computer Training Center of the library and are offered free of charge.

The September schedule for classes includes:

Minecraft Survival, for ages 6-12 – 5 p.m. Sept. 2 and 16

Getting Started with Computers1 p.m. Sept. 6-9

Robot Club, for 6th-12th grade – 4 p.m. Sept. 7, 14 and 28

Minecraft Creative, for ages 6-12 – 5 p.m. Sept. 9 and 23

Girls Who Code, for 6th-12th grade – 4 p.m. Sept. 12, 19 and 26

Golden Agers' Computer Club10 a.m. Sept. 14 and 28

STEAM Tweens, for ages 8-12 – 4 p.m. Sept. 8, 15, 22 and 29

Computer Skills for Job Seekers1 p.m. Sept. 19-20, 22-23

Introduction to Genealogy: Start Right!2 p.m. Sept. 21

Microsoft Excel1 p.m. Sept. 26-29
