Get ahead in the new year with exercise, nutrition ideas

Recipe byroyguisngerNorman Public Library Central is helping those with a New Year's resolution to improve their healthy lifestyle, or anyone wanting to just make better nutrition and exercise choices to its program series "Eat Better, Move More."

The series begins at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, and runs for eight weeks, through Feb. 28, in the Lowry Room.

The group will meet to discuss nutrition goals and ways to meet them, as well as exploring ways to achieve at least 30 minutes of activity per day. To that end, each participant will receive a free pedometer that they'll learn how to use.

The classes are for ages 18 and up. Registration is required separately for each session.

The program series is sponsored by the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative.
