Learn a new skill with a free computer class

ComputerKeyboardNorman Public Library Central gives the gift of technology knowledge with its monthly computer classes, offered in the Computer Training Center of the library.

CTC staff leads classes on a variety of topics each months, with many of the subjects being part of multi-class sessions on various skills.

The schedule for February classes features:

Minecraft: Survival (ages 6 to 12) – 5 p.m. Feb. 3 and 17

Girls Who Code (6th through 12th grades) – 4:30 p.m. Feb. 6, 13, 20 and 27, in Room C

Younger Girls Who Code (2nd through 5th grades) – 4 p.m. Feb. 7

Middle School Movie Makers (6th through 8th grades) – 4 p.m. Feb. 7, 14, 21 and 28

Golden Agers' Computer Club10 a.m. Feb. 8 and 22

Robot Club (6th through 12th grades) – 4 p.m. Feb. 8, 15 and 22

Minecraft: Creative (ages 6 to 12) – 5 p.m. Feb. 10 and 24

Getting Started with Computers (age 18 and up) – 10 a.m. Feb. 13-17

Beginning Programming with Scratch! (ages 11 and under) – 10 a.m. Feb. 20

Robots! (ages 12 to 17) – Noon Feb. 20

Stop-motion Animation (ages 12 to 17) – 2 p.m. Feb. 20
