Norman Public Library Central is bringing discussion on topics of worldwide interest to the community on Tuesday evenings throughout March with its 2017 Great Decisions discussion series.
Great Decisions is a presentation of the Foreign Policy Association and is America's largest discussion program on topics concerning world affairs.
Presentations begin at 6:30 p.m. each Tuesday of the month. This year's schedule of discussions features:
March 7 – "The Future of Europe: Coping with Crisis," presented by University of Oklahoma professor Dr. Mitchell Smith;
March 14 – "U.S. Foreign Policy and Petroleum," presented by Dr. Bo Kong, International and Area Studies professor at OU;
March 21 – "Nuclear Security," presented by Dr. Suzette Grillot, Dean of OU's College of International Studies;
March 28 – "Conflict in the South China Sea," presented by Dr. Peter Gries of OU;
Ages 12 and up are invited to attend the discussions. Registration is not required in advance.
